Hello and welcome.
I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My core approach is person-centred; however, as an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic models to tailor our work to your individual needs.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, chaotic, or stressful. At times, this may lead to anxiety, depression, or feelings of being stuck, alone, or isolated. You do not have to navigate these experiences on your own.
My private practice offers a warm, confidential, and supportive space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. I listen with empathy and without judgement, supporting you as you begin or continue your therapeutic journey. Together, we can work towards helping you see yourself more clearly, strengthen your sense of self-worth and confidence, and move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
I have both professional and personal experience supporting adult carers and parents, including those caring for individuals with autism. Caring for someone can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be demanding and exhausting, and it is important that carers feel supported too.
I also specialise in working with adult survivors of sexual assault and abuse, as well as those experiencing trauma and PTSD. As a trauma-informed therapist, I focus on supporting survivors with the cognitive, emotional, and physical impacts of trauma. Psychoeducation can be a valuable part of this process, helping to make sense of changes and responses that may otherwise feel frightening or overwhelming.
In addition, I offer couples therapy to help improve communication, strengthen understanding, and address difficulties that may be affecting the health and balance of the relationship.
Finding the right therapist—someone you feel comfortable and safe with—is an important step. A strong therapeutic relationship can help reduce anxiety, lift low mood, and build self-worth and confidence.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
